(DS)The Samoa Tourism Authority’s marketing representative highlight a positive outcome for Samoa Tourism Authority’s “Beautiful Samoa ROADSHOW 2019” programme.

The trade promotion programme introduced four years ago by the office of the Samoa Tourism Authority continues to pick up momentum with the increase of agents/clients, according to the Authority’s Australian Market Representative Fasitau Ula.

“Programme went well”, says the Samoa Tourism Authority’s Australian Market Representative.

“Numbers increase every year since 2015”, he further added.

Fasitau pointed out the main objective of the ROADSHOW, and the important contribution by the programme to the development of Samoa.

“To educate agents/media on Samoa’s tourism offerings/destination awareness”, Ula said.

“The objective is to educate the trade on Samoa’s holiday offerings so they [agents/clients] can sell to their clients. Increased trade product knowledge increases sales and arrivals, which means increased tourism earnings”, says the Australian base officer.

The programme offered experiences through cultural entertainment, traditional food and local Samoan made products; including holiday destinations and schedules for times and events to visit the beautiful island paradise.

Most of the clients/agents registered through the ROADSHOW programme are media related or tourism driven businesses.
